The Thai Thing

The Thai Thing on 3rd Street is a bright space with a big front patio that’s ideal for large groups. The menu has solid versions of all the classics like papaya salad, panang curry, and tom kha soup, but you should concentrate on the “Up To Us” section. This is where you’ll find excellent house specialities like the hi-so wok noodle (vermicelli topped with fried egg and vegetables) and the hidden gem green curry that also comes with vermicelli noodles. The Thai Thing is also just a few blocks down from The Grove, making it a good place to hide out once you realize you can’t take The Grove anymore.
