Chan is a cool Korean gastropub located down some stairs from the touristy chaos of Pike Place Market. There’s an open kitchen, and the menu has fried rice cakes, bibimbap bowls, seafood scallion pancakes, poke, and entrees like Korean braised short rib. But you’re really here for the incredible sliders: the spicy pork version, with mayo, green onion, and pickled daikon, or the bulgogi ones, with spicy mayo and cucumber kimchi. There’s not much space, so don’t come with a big group. Wash everything down with a lychee rickey, and congratulate yourself on doing Pike Place like an actual local.
