PX is a great reason to get to Alexandria. The Old Town bar is easy to miss - a mysterious blue street light on the brick-house exterior is the only evidence it exists - but almost always crowded inside. The white leather chairs and mirrored walls give it a swanky feel, and the cocktails are made with ingredients like tobacco tea and pickled jalapeños. This is a fun spot for a date, but you can also come with a group and reserve the private back room. If you get hungry, order pub food from Eamonn’s, an Irish restaurant on the ground floor.
