In a society that values new ideas and innovation, it’s refreshing to see that some things are able to resist change. Case in point, London’s third Nobu, hidden away in the basement of their self-named hotel in Shoreditch. The space is genuinely impressive, with a huge bar area and a Japanese garden outside. However, it’s business as usual at the restaurant, with their trademark low-lit vibe as well as a familiar menu of dishes (sushi, ceviches, expensive grilled things) that are sometimes tasty, sometimes very average, but always ridiculously expensive.
