This small cafe on a busy stretch of 16th Avenue in White Center serves well-made espresso among tropical plants and shelves of fancy cider for sale. The whole place smells like earthy Olympia beans, and baristas specialize in flavored lattes that have a pleasant subtlety. It’s hard to go wrong with any of them, but the lavender blossom and cardamom versions go down especially easy. And though there are only a handful of seats, the place is rarely crowded—you can sip, eat a buttery quiche, and peer out at the world from behind a frond like a jungle cat lying in wait.
