Loves Company is a laid-back cocktail bar by the Old Street roundabout. It’s split into two levels - there’s a ground-floor bar, where they do a two-for-£12 cocktail deal on your first round, and a bigger downstairs bar with DJs that play until 2am at the weekend. The drinks are excellent, the crowd’s unpretentious, and it’s a great call as a place to start and finish your night.
You’re going to want a lot on the Turkish menu at Oklava, so hit up the Shoreditch spot for a small group dinner.
Well & Bucket is a neighbourhood pub in Shoreditch. In addition to being very pretty inside, there’s a garden in the back and decent food, too.
Som Saa is a boisterious Thai restaurant in Spitalfields that lives for a spicy, big group blowout.
Palatino is a slick Italian restaurant in Clerkenwell with good pastas and sharing plates. Make sure you get the fried sage leaves.
