Flavour Bastard

Neither a hipster pop-up or somebody’s idea of a practical joke, Flavour Bastard is an upscale fusion restaurant in Soho with a name that somebody actually signed off on. The food is a mashup of ingredients from different cuisines, so you could eat a masala-spiced steak tartare, or a Hawaiian tuna poke with curry leaf. Many dishes have a strong Indian influence to them, and while the ideas are interesting, the flavours don’t quite work together. It’s a new opening, and it feels like there are still some kinks to work out, so we’ll be back.
