Cecconi's Dumbo

Cecconi’s has locations around the world, and the newest one is on the waterfront in Dumbo. The outdoor space is by far the best part of this place - if you get a spot on their awning-covered patio, you can drink something from their Negroni menu while looking at the skyline. Otherwise, Cecconi’s feels like a well-designed club restaurant - the multiple giant rooms are filled with velvet mini-sofas and chandeliers, and people here are way more dressed up than pretty much anywhere else in Brooklyn. The food is the kind of vaguely American, vaguely Italian stuff that probably won’t make you mad but is also pretty forgettable. If you want to check it out, consider doing so between 4 and 7pm, when they serve discounted drinks and appetizers.
