Sub Cult

It’s a tale as old as they come. A couple of friends start a business making gourmet sandwiches, paying their dues in grim pub residencies and markets before hitting the big time - their very own permanent digs in a shipping container. Next up, a chain of popular delis and world domination. Something like that.

Sub Cult is at the shipping container stage of its journey, now in a space near Broadgate Circle selling gourmet subs to hungry City folk at breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches are good - they’re big, hefty things with posh ingredients. You can’t go wrong, but we like the club sandwich with chicken and bacon, as well as the Dub Sub, a monster loaded with roast pork and jerk crackling. There’s usually a line, but the staff are jolly and the food’s worth the wait.
