Sweet & Vicious is a classic, and it’s one of those places you’ll always want to have on hand when 12 of your friends suddenly materialize and want to get drinks somewhere downtown. It’s a straightforward bar right off Bowery in Nolita, with plenty of space out back. Get a “jargarita.” It’s a frozen margarita in a giant mason jar.
YN is a tiny wine bar in Nolita that your friends probably don’t know about. Stop by for Happy Hour (4-7pm), and get a $7 glass of wine.
The Pod 39 Rooftop Bar is a great place to grab an outdoor drink in Murray Hill. Although if you go on a weekend, expect crowds.
The Vig Bar is a neighborhood bar in Nolita, and it’s a perfectly fine place to enjoy some Happy Hour drinks or avoid the crowds at Sweet And Vicious.
Part coffeehouse, part craft beer bar, The Upright Brewhouse is a true utility spot that works for all times of day and all kinds of activities.
