The Monkey Barrel

One of Denver’s favorite Italian delis is back and running the shop out of the Monkey Barrel bar in Sunnyside. The old school bodega vibe has been switched out for old school band posters, but the menu is the same. We like it best for lunch, but it’s open until 2am to satisfy your late night needs too. The meatball and the italian sausage subs are our favorites, and you can play mario kart in the back booths while you wait for them to come out.
