Eating at Mojito is like one big party that you will certainly want an e-vite for. The music’s loud, the owner will probably chat with you before comping your group a round of tequila shots, and everything from their pressed Cubano to tangy braised beef with maduros is really good. Start with a plate full of arepas and crunchy corn-battered empanadas, and it’s be pretty impossible to have a bad attitude here. Unless you’re allergic to lime, mint, or fun.

Fonda La Catrina

If you end up in Georgetown needing sit-down Mexican, you have little choice but to go to La Catrina. It’s not the best, but the tamales are good.

Copal image

Copal is a Mexican spot in Pioneer Square that put a lot of effort into making a great space. The food needs a bit more of that effort.

Mezcaleria Oaxaca image

There’s a lot of good Mexican in Seattle, but Mezcaleria Oaxaca in Capitol Hill also has an excellent rooftop.

Navy Strength is a great spot in Belltown for tiki drinks and quality bar food. Use it for a date or an alcohol-fueled group hang.
