Bar Sue has a friendly Southern vibe, but without any wild west paraphernalia and way fewer handlebar mustaches. There’s always a good crowd, they make their own Fireball, and they serve truffle gnocchi mac and cheese and cuban paninis until midnight.
Captain Black’s is a bar in Capitol Hill that you hit when the weather is nice. Post up on the rooftop patio and get the fried chicken.
Herb & Bitter is a classier bar in Northern Cap Hill. The patio is great, and the tapas are good too.
Knee-High Stocking Company on Capitol Hill is one of the best Seattle “speakeasies.” Make a reservation and prepare for a lot of good cocktails and Filipino food.
Slow Boat Tavern is a weirdly decorated, low-key beer bar in Hillman City great for a drink with friends (and for eating shelled peanuts).
