Before Pitt Cue existed, London really never had much of a claim to being a town with good barbecue. What started out as a stall beneath the Hungerford Bridge has now become a vast meat palace close to the Bank of England and City. Playing to both a City crowd and meat enthusiasts, Pitt Cue has a smart industrial feel about it, and provides an ideal setting for focusing on eating your body weight in pork. The restaurant specialises in obscure breeds of pigs that they raise, slaughter, smoke and cure themselves to create very tasty plates of ‘cue. A civilised lads’ night here is a given, but it’s also surprisingly comfy and quiet enough to take your parents.
