After realising that we had been sold a lie about what makes a good Asian noodle soup, Bone Daddies arrived in Soho a few years ago and quickly established themselves as one of the best places to eat ramen in London. They’ve subsequently opened up a few other spots across the capital, probably as part of their community outreach program – and for that, we’re thankful.

For those new to this Japanese soul food (no, what they serve at Wagamama’s does not count), this is definitely where you should lose your ramen virginity. Their broths start at the safety level of the soy ramen, through to the spice of the chilli tantanmen, and the adventurous anchovy tonkotsu. You’ll be back at Bone Daddies several times for sure, so no need to worry about missing out on any of them.

Do not, however, miss the side dishes on any visit. Things like the wings, sticky pork bones (ribs), and soft shell crab are not only recommended, but are essential to your happiness. You just don’t know it yet.

The original location in Soho always has long lines, so venture out to their other locations like Old Street or High Street Ken to avoid these, and as part of your community outreach program.
