Like most of the bars on the Lower East Side, Hill & Dale is calm during the week and nuts on the weekend. It’s a gastropub/lounge where you can take a date on a quieter night or bring a few friends on a Friday and hope to bump into a similar-sized group of people that you can buy drinks for (or vice versa). It’s a big space with couches in the back, some booths in the middle, and a pretty standard assortment of bar food. Fans of oysters will appreciate the happy hour.
