Village East is one of the best spots in Bermondsey for brunch, in part for the very solid food but also for the ambience in the dining room that looks like a warehouse and a member’s club copped off in the gents’. It’s a pretty swish place to have your morning coffee, and in the evenings, there’s a nice brasserie menu that’ll make everyone happy. It’ll also do fine for a group dinner or a low-key date.
