Automatic Slims

Automatic Slims is a very normal bar, and that’s why we like it. It’s nicer than a dive bar, but it isn’t especially cool, so it doesn’t get packed on weekends. Which is a blessing when you consider how close it is to the Meatpacking District. Say you’re at The Standard Biergarten when you suddenly realize you hate the crowd, and you just want to have a quiet drink with a friend. Come here. You can have a beer at the bar and watch a game on TV, or you can sit at one of the little tables and hang out with a few people. This place is kind of small, and it might not be the best place to see and be seen, but at least they never play top-40.
