Maison Pickle serves maximalist, Cheesecake Factory-adjacent food—and there are some days when it really hits the spot. Like its sister restaurant, the mega-popular brunch destination Jacob’s Pickles, this glitzy Upper West Side spot doesn’t hold back. A typical dinner here consists of a thick slab of bacon, a cast-iron dish of butter-topped rolls, and a hefty french dip with a side of au jus. (Although you can also get a salad.) The cavernous space has a bar up front and a bi-level dining room in the back featuring fancy light fixtures and an enormous shelf of booze, and it tends to stay busy. Try this place for brunch, when the usual entrees are replaced with cartoonishly tall stacks of french toast.
