Pig Bleecker bills itself as a “barbecue-inspired restaurant” which frankly didn’t instill a lot of confidence in us. But it turns out what this actually is is just a meat restaurant. A meat restaurant serving pretty much every type of American and Italian comfort food you might want to eat. Brisket ravioli, duck lasagne, a whole fried chicken, meatballs - this is a choose-your-own-artery-damaging-adventure, and the ideal place to go when you’re ready to give up all semblance of health for a night. It’s a small space, but manages to have a relatively sexy vibe, especially given the fact that you will probably not feel the sexiest after eating here. Unsurprisingly, they make a very good burger.
