Trencher is an all-day cafe in Echo Park, and one of the Eastside’s best sandwich shops that you’ve probably never heard of. The no-frills space is small, but fun, and actually filled with people who live in the neighborhood. You’re definitely going to want that chicken banh mi.
Bay Cities is a Santa Monica classic that’s been open since 1925. Most importantly, it’s home to The Godmother, Los Angeles’ greatest sandwich.
Canter's is a Los Angeles classic. Come late night for a pastrami reuben and some very entertaining people watching.
LA Cafe has solid diner food and a 24-hour delivery service that’ll get you through the tough times.
