Uncommon Ground has been a pioneer in the sustainable, farm-to-table, grow stuff on your own rooftop movement since 1991. They even have solar panels on the roof for energy use, so you know they’re serving of plenty of homegrown vegetables and herbs in everything they make. The restaurant is on Clark St. just north of Wrigley Field, but it doesn’t cater to the drunk and rowdy baseball fan. Not that you can’t get a bite to eat and a drink here before or after a Cubs game, but it’s a real neighborhood spot good for a casual meal year-round. Go here for an easy dinner during the week with friends, or hit it on the weekend for brunch.
