In London, there’s a whole chain of Taylor St. coffee shops, but this is the only one in New York. It’s just a few blocks south of Grand Central, and it’s a good place to hide from Midtown for a bit. There’s even a disco ball, which, you know, is nice to look at for some reason (it’s shiny). Also, the staff is friendly, they make good coffee, and there’s some pretty substantial food here. You can eat it in their little dining room upstairs.

Irving Farm is a small chain of coffee shops, and this is their location on the Upper East Side. There’s coffee, beer, wine, and food. It’s nice.
