Ghost Donkey is a bar in Noho that specializes in tequila and mezcal. It’s a pretty small space, but there are a few big couches that you can snag if you get there early enough. Overall, however, this isn’t the best place for group. Come with a few friends, or sit alone at the bar and stare at all the red lights dangling from the ceiling. They’re magnificent. The cocktails are Mexican-themed, and, if you’re hungry, they do a variety of nachos. One kind has black truffles.

The Poni Room is a bar underneath Saxon + Parole in the East Village, and it’s a good spot to have drinks and small plates with a date.
