If you hung up some pictures and brought a few more tables into your studio apartment, you’d wind up with something like Piccola Strada. This is a miniscule Italian spot in the East Village where you’ll find a bunch of red-sauce classics. Ossobuco, penne a la vodka - that’s the sort of stuff they have. It isn’t the very best Italian in town, but it’s pretty cheap, and it’s BYOB.
