Del Seoul is a casual counter-service spot in Lincoln Park that specializes in Korean-inspired street food. This means sweet and spicy tacos, kimchi fries, and some Korean dishes like bibimbap. The food is good, you won’t spend over $15, and the staff is just so darn friendly - truly, some of the nicest folks around. You might need to jockey for a table during peak hours on the weekend, but trust us when we say it’s worth the wait.

Del Seoul earns bonus points for their great delivery service and addition of beer and wine to the menu. Can’t get off the couch? Del Seoul. Want to get a little boozy? Del Seoul. Just want incredible Korean tacos? Del Seoul. Del Seoul is always here for you, and it should earn a permanent spot in your weekend lunch outings, or post-work takeout schedule.

Food Rundown

Kalbi Taco

Grilled beef short rib with their classic cilantro-onion relish, secret slaw, and toasted sesames in a corn tortilla that holds up surprisingly well. The short rib is tender and flavorful, and the combo of toppings is pure magic – we could swim Scrooge McDuck style in a pile of it.

Sesame-Chili Shrimp Taco

Deliciously flakey yet delicately light. Topped with the same ingredients as the kalbi plus a zesty sesame-chili aioli, this might be the best shrimp taco in Chicago.

Spicy BBQ Pork Banh Mi

This is a sleeper pick on a menu of heavy hitters. The bread is perfectly crispy on the outside with a soft chewy center, and it’s filled with spicy, tangy, and sweet pork, plus the usual banh mi suspects.

Hot Stone Bowl Bibimbap

The signature Korean rice bowl is filled with cooked vegetables, egg, beef and rice. Unfortunately, the flavor just isn’t there – a wasted order when there are so many other A+ options.

Kimchi Fries

French fries topped with kimchi, onions, pork belly, scallions, cheese, and sour cream. Or you can have a real fat kid moment and step it up a notch with the Kalbi Poutine (the same fries topped with short rib, beef gravy, cheese, cream, and onions). Whatever you do, make sure to get a side of the aioli for dipping.

K-town Chicken Wings

Eight pieces of lollipopped wings in a sweet soy chili and garlic glaze. They are topped with sesame seeds to add a little crunch to the sweetness.
