Jacob the Angel in Covent Garden is an ‘English coffeehouse’ from the guys behind excellent spots The Palomar and The Barbary. It’s a small deli that’ll remind you of an Ottolenghi, with lots of fresh salads, sandwiches, and tasty baked things like Middle Eastern-style spinach borekas. You can sit in and there’s a nice view of Neal’s Yard, but it’s definitely more of a convenient grab-and-go kind of place. Don’t miss their coconut meringue pies.

An Australian mini-chain’s first London location and their doughnuts are over the top, and fantastic.

Sibarita is a casual, affordable tapas spot just far away enough from the madness of Covent Garden’s main square.
