Home of the massive piece of nigiri, you either love Yama’s huge pieces of sushi or hate them. But it’s hard to argue with the fact that this is the go-to spot for the Gramercy neighborhood. The space is underground, and a little dated, in a kind of charming 90s way, but the fish is always fresh.
