The first floor of Raconteur is a pleasant-looking bookstore and coffee shop, but the lower level is where the real action is - a.k.a. the bar. There’s a full menu with everything from tacos and noodles to curry and a lobster roll. Plus, if you’re on a first date, picking up a used book on the way out will only help you seem smarter.
Little Oddfellows is inside Elliot Bay Book Company in Cap Hill. There’s coffee for getting work done, beer for celebrating it, and some food.
Anchored Ship is a small but useful coffee shop in Ballard that's excellent for getting work done. Plus, there’s a natural wine bottle shop in the back.
Perihelion Brewery is a neighborhood spot in Beacon Hill with great beer and solid American bar snacks.
Slow Boat Tavern is a weirdly decorated, low-key beer bar in Hillman City great for a drink with friends (and for eating shelled peanuts).
