Brookvin is a casual wine bar in South Slope that’s a pretty ideal early-in-the-game date spot. You can share small plates and charcuterie at a table or the bar in the narrow, dimly-lit space, or in the back garden under hanging lights and some greenery. They have a lot of wines by the glass and the half bottle, and if your conversation is becoming a series of awkward silences and glances around the room, ask the knowledgeable bartenders for some tastes of wines they recommend.
