If you’ve ever wondered who lives in the brownstones in the West 40s, we have no idea. But we do know that in this one, there’s a bar inside. It’s a classic pre- or post-theater spot for cocktails and likely sightings of Broadway actors. Yes, that probably is Patti LuPone.
Ardesia is first and foremost a wine bar, and a good one at that. The food is decent, but it’s secondary to what they do best, which is selecting excellent “mineral-driven” wines from all over the world.
The Marshal is a perfect neighborhood restaurant in Hell's Kitchen with dedicated regulars and an appreciation for New York.
Toloache ain’t cheap, but in an area where dropping dollars on grub is a given, it’s a breath of fresh air when the food is legitimately awesome.
With its red leather booths and Art Deco decor, The Lambs Club is a very Midtown place. It's a little stuffy, but the food is reliably good.
