This restaurant on the ground floor of the Standard is one of your better food options in the Meatpacking District. The menu mostly reads raw bar and chop house, with steaks, seafood towers, and a great pork chop smothered in french onion sauce. They do the white-jacket waiter thing here, but we actually enjoy this place for its breezy, casual feel. The bright front bar area has big windows looking out to the cobblestone streets, and even the much darker main dining room, filled with maroon leather booths, feels more like a private lunch club than a stuffy steakhouse. Nothing you eat here is going to blow you away, but it’s a solid spot for a walk-in meal if you’re staying at the hotel, or don’t want to deal with reservations elsewhere.
